Concept : Three
colored upright forms represent the diversity of people who live in Hawaii. The
figures surround a stone which represents Hawaii the place we all call home. It
is said that the small holes in the stone is where the first people came from.
The uprights are all holding gray forms representing their offspring which come
from a diverse range of cultural and racial backgrounds. As future generations
grow up in Hawaii they will come to understand the rich legacy that the first
people of Hawaii have left for all of us to enjoy.
